    Independent living residences offer a maintenance-free lifestyle. We offer a range of levels of care for financial security and peace of mind.

  • What levels of care are provided at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel?

    Senior living at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel means living independently while having on-site access to a comprehensive menu of health care services and long-term care. We meet the needs of our residents by providing the following levels of care:

    • Residential Living (Independent Living)
    • Assisted Living
    • Secured Memory Support
    • Skilled Nursing
  • Who qualifies for Independent Living?

    Those who meet financial and health and safety requirements are welcome. We offer a range of attractive apartments to suit your independent living lifestyle.

  • Who qualifies for Assisted Living?

    If everyday activities such as meal preparation, dressing or managing medications take a toll on your energy, but you do not require 24-hour Skilled Nursing or other specialized care, reach for the helping hand of Assisted Living at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel.

  • Who determines the proper transition plan should a resident need to move to another level in the Continuum of Care?

    The resident, family and physician typically make the decision with the support of campus staff.

  • Who qualifies for Skilled Nursing?

    Admission to Skilled Nursing at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel requires a physician’s order.

  • Who is primarily responsible for health care and medical services at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel?

    The resident, along with his or her physician, is responsible for making medical decisions. Covenant Living at Mount Miguel offers a variety of resources to support residents’ medical needs.

  • How does “health care” work at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel?

    Health care services can be provided in residential living, Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing. Staff members identify specific needs and provide options for meeting each resident’s medical needs.

  • What level of care is provided in independent living residences?

    Both basic home support services and licensed home health services are available. In addition, there is a clinic staffed with a licensed nurse and equipped with physician exam rooms.

  • How does my Primary Care Physician fit into my health care program at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel?

    You can continue to use your primary care physician. The primary care physician provides direction to campus staff on how to best meet the resident’s health needs.

  • What happens if a resident requires hospitalization?

    Campus staff will monitor the resident’s condition and our Chaplain will visit.

  • Is there a pharmacy at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel?

    Yes, Omnicare.

  • How does medical insurance coverage work at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel?

    Some insurances may cover select services in Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing. Insurance may also cover on-campus doctor visits.

  • Are there any Social Service offerings or programming at Covenant Living at Mount Miguel?

    There is a Director of Social Services who coordinates a variety of social service resources.


Keep in mind, you do not have to be a current resident of our retirement community to benefit from our Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing or short-term Rehabilitation services, nor will you have to pay an entrance fee to enter one of the areas noted above. In our short-term Rehabilitation program, we accept Medicare and are in-network providers for a number of managed care and Medicare Advantage programs.
